Portal Lake Outpost Camp"Beautiful cabin" and "Excellent fishing" are comments we get all the time from guests who stay here. The hillside cabin is located on the northwest side of the lake; in the mornings, you'll awaken to stunning tangerine and crimson sunrises. But let's not forget the great fishing action that Portal Lake offers - large northerns and walleye are this lake's mainstay. Some of the features that you can expect when you arrive are two large weedy bays as well as shoreline that alternates between rocky and sandy. Overall, the lake is 900 acres and goes to a maximum depth of 70 feet. A Charming Log-Sided CabinVisitors to Portal Lake can't say enough about this charming cabin. Modern and comfortable, it sleeps up to eight people. There are lots of windows that not only let out to a spectacular view of the pristine wilderness and sparkling lake, but allow sunlight to fill the cabin, making it a delightful place to curl up with a good book, when you're not out fishing! Like all of our cabins, it includes a woodstove for those cooler evenings.
