Update on Ice ConditionsWe are out cleaning our first cabin today - Devlin Lake. We are hoping to get into Wasa Lake tomorrow. The ice is still on a lot of the lakes but it is going out slowly. Temperatures have been cool - about 45-50 F during the day and freezing at night. The long range forecast is to be in the low 60s by May 16.Update on Ice and Snow ConditionsWell, our snow was all gone and the ice was starting to go out last week. Saturday, April 26 we got hit with a winter storm that left 12-14" of snow in places but the good new is it is melting. The snow should be gone by the weekend and the ice is about 1/2 out on the airbase lake. I think the snow on the ice actually helped the melting of the ice. We still expect to be out cleaning cabins by the end of next week. Water levels are up from last year - which is a good thing. Fishing is expected to be awesome as usual. |
