Wilderness Air is based in the heart of fishing and hunting country, Vermilion Bay, Ontario. Wilderness Air's owner and operator, Mr. Bob Huitikka, is an avid angler. He has owned Wilderness Air since 1981. He's been piloting anglers into the remote north since then and knows all the best fishing holes!

Our exclusive wilderness outpost locations offer the very best in walleye, northern pike, muskie, smallmouth bass and trout fishing. You'll be transported to areas where few people have ever set foot and where the fish have never even seen a lure!

We offer a variety of exclusive lakes in Wildlife Management Areas 3, 4 and 5; discover 15 catch and release lakes and 18 conservation lakes. Stay in any of our 10 comfortable wooden outpost cabins, nestled among the birch and pine on the shores of tranquil, clear northern lakes.

All of our staff are helpful and friendly, and committed to making life easier for you. If you are flying in commercially, we'll make your local taxi arrangements, purchase your groceries and have them ready and waiting for you, make local motel reservations, or make arrangements for satellite phone rentals. We want your vacation to be effortless, because that's what it's all about - getting away from it all and relaxing. Oh, that and catching some amazing trophy fish!

Wilderness Air's fleet of aircraft include 2 deHavilland Otters, 3 deHavilland Beavers, and 1 Cessna 185. Serviced at our own maintenance facility, our aircraft are well maintained and safe.
